Submissions

Interested in Submitting for issue two:

Deadline: 02/20/2026

Guidelines:

• Word Limit 6,000 words.

• Submit in manuscript format, PDF.

• We accept Non-fiction, Poetry, Fiction, Plays of all shapes and sizes.

• We’re looking for experimental, possibly genre bending, pieces. The work you think is too strange to submit to more traditional magazines.

For Artwork:

• We’re accepting cover submissions or an up to three page long comic.

• Cleveland has a long history of amazing comic book creators. Our library has one of, if not, the biggest collection of comic books in the country, so we are not looking for specific topic or style here at Misophist but to continue Cleveland’s longstanding comic book legacy.

AI Policy:

• Absolutely zero tolerance for any AI usage, if it is discovered that AI was used for your piece, it will be discarded.

• Users of AI shall be added to the Misophist wall of shame
