BEN KETTERER

Sylvia Moran is an author and poet from Cleveland, Ohio and is a NEOMFA graduate. She writes when her body decides it’s time, almost always reluctantly. Sylvia is an avid birder and does volunteer work to rescue injured raptors and birds of prey. Her work can be found in Haymaker, Ashbelt, and in endlessly expanding desktop folders.

Audrey Menner is a bewitching specter reportedly seen by many during episodes of sleep paralysis. Allegedly a writer, barista, and CSU student when not haunting subconsciousnesses.

Zoe Dudack is a Northeast Ohio-born nonprofit data coordinator in Cleveland and a substitute public services assistant in Akron, with previous career experience in nonprofit administration, grantwriting, research, and education. She has a Bachelor's degree in English, with research emphases in Gothic writing, metamorphoses in literature, and text-image studies. Having recently finished her Master's in Library and Information Science this spring with a concentration in archival and digital librarianship, she is expanding her professional horizons, returning to a lifetime love of creative writing, rediscovering old projects, and rubbing the rust off her writing gears. Outside of work and writing, she loves playing the cello and piano, learning guitar, cooking new recipes, reading (of course), and spending time with friends and family.

Jude Rall is a humble story crafter and aspiring author. He’s lived in Cleveland since it was settled in 1796.

Chris Rall is a Comic Book creator from Cleveland. He winds down by spending time with his wife, two children and two cherished cats Molly and Finn.

Robert Beveridge (he/him) makes noise (xterminal.bandcamp.com) and writes poetry on unceded Mingo land (Akron, OH). He published his first poem in a non-vanity/non-school publication in November 1988, and it's been all downhill since. Recent/upcoming appearances in Soup Can, Balestra, and Cacti Fur, among others.

Nick is a Cleveland based actor, lighting designer, and writer who is sending out his work for the first time to be read by the public. He writes freely and has yet to feel too restricted by genre. He sent his story to Misophist because of their willingness to look outside the box, and because a lot of the best writers he knows put their work in this magazine. You can find more of his work nowhere currently, but who knows, maybe someday that will change.

Tom Scherer is an Ohio writer on a time travel journey. He has no plans to find his way back. If you were, however, to seek him out, you would find him sitting at his marketing cubicle, pumping out content for “the man,” and evaluating his new life as a Cleveland State University alum. He likes hanging things on walls and hates being approached before 10 o’clock in the morning. He does not enjoy math.

Zach Savich’s latest books are the poetry collection Momently (Black Ocean, 2024) and the hybrid work A Field of Telephones (53rd State, 2025). He teaches at the Cleveland Institute of Art and with the PhD in Creativity at Rowan University.

Marlowe Jones is a poet from Vermilion, Ohio. He has a BA in history, and is a NEOMFA alum by way of Cleveland State. His poems have been published in Green Blotter, Sink Hollow, and The Courtship of Winds under a previous name, as well as in Wingless Dreamer, Plumwood Mountain Journal, The Quarter Review, Elevation Review, and Delmarva Review under his current name. He can usually be found standing away from the rest of the party, looking at some kind of bird.

Lise Hosein is a queer mixed-race writer based in Toronto. She is obsessed by systems of care, ritual and the ways ordinary objects unsettlingly fail to remain ordinary. Her work has appeared in Brief + Incorrect, The Itch Lit and The Leafline Magazine.

Benjamin Anthony Rhodes (he/him/his) is a queer and trans poet living in Northeast Ohio. His poetry is featured in the anthologies Light Enters the Grove: Exploring Cuyahoga National Park Through Poetry and Let Me Say This: A Dolly Parton Poetry Anthology. Free Palestine.

Carrie George is a co-editor of "Light Enters the Grove: Exploring Cuyahoga Valley National Park Through Poetry," Kent State University Press. Her chapbook "Unbecoming" won the 2024 Flume Press chapbook prize. She is the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award, and her work has appeared in Best of the Net, DIAGRAM, Hayden's Ferry Review, and elsewhere.

Dominik Slusarczyk makes things. He is from Bristol, England. He was educated at The University of Nottingham where he got a degree in biochemistry. He publishes literature, nonfiction, and visual arts. In visual arts he has published paintings and drawings, photographs, and cartoons. His fiction came 1st in The Cranked Anvil Short Story Competition and his poetry won The Letter Review Prize for Poetry. His full-length poetry collection Reaction is out now with Cyberwit. Michael Anderson is a writer birthed from Cleveland’s writer farm. He was born to write, and carries out this destiny with pride. Michael’s four act period drama, Journey West, recently was performed as part of Cleveland’s BorderLight Theatre Festival. He looks forward to more productions in the near future. His work can be found in prior Misophist issues. He likes to travel.

Sheila E. Murphy. A Pushcart-nominated poet, appearances include Fortnightly Review, Lana Turner, Poetry, Poetry Bay, and others. Most recent book publications are I Want to Be Your Radio (Unlikely Books, 2025), Escritoire (Lavender Ink, 2025), and Permission to Relax (BlazeVOX Books, 2023). She won the Gertrude Stein Poetry Award for Letters to Unfinished J. (Green Integer Press, 2003) and the Hay(ha)ku Book Prize for Reporting Live From You Know Where (Meritage Press, 2018). She lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Originally from Southern California, Glenn Bach now lives in the Dugway Brook watershed of Cleveland, Ohio. Glenn retired from a career in sound art and experimental music to focus exclusively on Atlas, a long poem about place and our (mis)understanding of the world. Sequence-length excerpts include EVAD (above/ground press), cricket (eclipse) (Stone Corpse Press), and verdugos (Ghost City Press). Lucas checks the ‘some college’ box on forms. He shaves his face, enjoys a motorcycle and until recently thought that purposes could be intensively. He did not move to Spain.

Willow Campbell (they/them) is a creative writing candidate with the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts Program through Cleveland State University. Their work has appeared in venues such as X-R-A-Y, Cleaver Magazine, Your Impossible Voice, and Cleveland Review of Books.
